By accessing or using FairSlice, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

FairSlice is a free expense-splitting and game-settlement platform. The service allows users to: track shared expenses within groups and between friends; split costs using multiple methods (equal, percentage, shares, exact amounts, itemized); scan receipts using AI-powered optical character recognition; create and manage game sessions for home games (poker, rummy, etc.) with buy-in tracking and automated settlement calculation; record and confirm financial settlements; generate spending reports and insights. FairSlice is available as a web application and a native Android application.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration. You may not use another person's account without permission.

You agree not to misuse the service, including but not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with other users, or using the service for any illegal purpose.

Game settlement features are provided as convenience tools for tracking informal home-game finances among friends. FairSlice does not facilitate, endorse, or enable online gambling. Users are responsible for ensuring their use of game settlement features complies with applicable local laws. Settlement calculations are provided as-is and users should verify amounts before making payments.

Receipt scanning uses AI to extract information from photos. Results are approximate and should be verified by users before creating expenses. FairSlice is not responsible for inaccuracies in scanned data. Receipt images may be processed by third-party AI services (Anthropic) for text extraction purposes only and are not stored by the AI provider.

You retain ownership of all content you create on FairSlice, including expense descriptions, notes, and uploaded receipt images. By using the service, you grant FairSlice a limited license to store and display this content to provide the service to you and your group/friend connections.

Your use of FairSlice is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data. You may export all your data at any time (Profile → Data → Export Data) in JSON format, and you may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time.

FairSlice is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. FairSlice is not a financial institution, bank, or payment processor. We do not hold funds, process transactions, or provide financial advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FairSlice shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
